What is Island?

Island is a free Android app that creates a separate Work Profile on your phone. This lets you keep two isolated environments on one device. It is mainly used to:

* 📱 Clone apps (run two WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, etc.)
* 🔒 Protect your privacy by isolating apps
* ❄️ Freeze apps so they cannot run in the background
* 👀 Hide apps from your personal profile
* 🌐 Use different VPN settings between your personal and work profiles on supported devices.

How to use Island (Step by Step)

1. Open the Play Store using the link above.
2. Tap Install.
3. Open Island.
4. Tap Set up or Create Island.
5. Allow the permissions it requests, including creating a Work Profile.
6. Wait a few minutes while Android creates the work profile.
7. When setup finishes, you’ll see two sections:
* Mainland (Personal apps)
* Island (Work apps)
8. To clone an app:
* Open Island.
* Select the app you want to clone.
* Tap Clone.
9. The cloned app will appear in your Work Profile and can be used independently (for example, logging into a second account).
10. To stop an app from running:
* Open Island.
* Select the cloned app.
* Tap Freeze. The app won’t run until you unfreeze it.

Example Uses

* Use two WhatsApp accounts on one phone.
* Use two Facebook accounts.
* Keep banking apps separate from other apps.
* Test apps without affecting your personal profile.
* Reduce battery usage by freezing apps you don’t use often.

Requirements

* Android 7.0 or newer.
* Your phone must support Android’s Work Profile feature.
* The app needs Device Administrator permission to create the work profile.
